Clinical Project Manager

Clinical Project Manager will work with Information Services, the health system, and executive level application hospital sponsors. The Project Manager will manage the Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager application, including IT projects focused on hospital initiatives for an integrated health system and will be responsible for planning and managing multiple medium to large projects using resources from IS and vendor teams. There is significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the health system.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills with significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the organization having essential responsibilities to manage the customer relationship and resolve customer issues
• Develop and maintain written project documentation
• Manage and control project, project resources and project deliverables to assure that deadlines are met, escalate issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and follow PMO methodologies
• Provide continuous risk management enabling proactive decisions and solutions
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget overages
• Facilitate communication
• Communicate work progress to key stakeholders

Specific experience / skills required:

• Minimum of three years clinical experience at a health care institution with a strong understanding of clinical systems and work flow
• Prefer a minimum of three years PMO/IT experience in a health system environment
• Ability to interact and work with hospital clinicians and all levels of management and staff
• Ability to organize and facilitate multi-disciplinary teams to recommend solutions or to resolve issues
• Exceptional executive presence, presentation and leadership skills
• Ability to lead and work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Understands technology concepts (application and infrastructure architecture)
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, presentation and leadership skills required.
• Prefer experience with Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager / SunriseXA

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical-related profession is preferred
• PMP Certification preferred
